| Objective To establish a 3D model of complex kidney stones and perform virtual ureteroscopic surgery. Methods Three cases of complicated renal calculi were reconstructed digitally from CTU images, and the corresponding urinary system models were printed out by 3D printing technology. Results The models of urinary system and kidney stones were successfully established in all three patients. The models showed the renal parenchyma, pelvis and the adjacent position of kidney stones directly and accurately. At the same time, virtual ureteroscopy was successfully performed in each model. Conclusion The establishment of a complex kidney stone model provides high guiding significance for intraoperative procedures, and plays an important role in preoperative planning of surgical paths, assessing surgical risks, and improving success rates. |
